Thank you, Marillac! To date we have raised

almost $200,000

in donations and pledges!

Here is how we did it:

Fun:  The classes of 1976, 1977 and 1978 held their 40th reunions and donated all profits plus donations made in honor of their reunions back to our mission. To date over $4,700 has been raised just by getting together with your classmates. Then for more fun, we hosted three all-school events: the launch reunion, a brunch and a Cuatro de Mayo bash, all in $33,000 raised. And that’s not all! The class of 1979 hosted a Party with Purpose, the class of 1985 hosted a shower for Project Hope and Susan Sittinger ’76 hosted a Marillac Night at her Moondance boutique donating 20% of all purchases that night.  These events raised over $2,200!

Gifts: In the last two years, we have donated over $11,000 in Christmas gifts wrapped for the holidays by volunteer Marillac girl elves, at our annual Charter Day wrap parties.

Giving: Whether you made a direct donation, had a corporate match or wanted to honor someone, our on-going giving campaign has raised over $129,000 to date,.

Impact:  Your donations continue to transform lives by funding: Before and after-school care; after-school tutoring programs; Hope Junior which offers children and teens high-quality after-school activities and opportunities that help shape positive choices; Project Hope which empowers pregnant and parenting teens to work toward self-sufficiency and build a positive future; summer camps for children to engage in fun and educational learning.

Our mission is simple: Marillac alumnae reconnect to advance the educational programs of the Daughters of Charity missions of Chicago.

Our core values put all in words:

Empowerment - Education - Responsible Freedom – Spirituality – Service – Community

Our vision sums it up: Empower those in need through education

With these results…yes, we’ve got spirit!

Let’s continue building that path.
