Our next monthly Coming Home meeting on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:30pm at Hackney’s on Lake. If you are considering joining a committee but haven’t done so yet, this meeting would be a great way to get acquainted (or re-acquainted) with fellow alum who are taking the lead in helping put our ideas into action!

Gather with friends to party with a purpose by hosting a baby shower to benefit Marillac St. Vincent Family Services’ Project Hope for pregnant and parenting teens. Food and Fun!
The Marillac St. Vincent Christmas Store is an exciting holiday tradition for Chicago families in need. For over 50 years, they have been able to make holiday wishes come true for thousands of children thanks to the generosity of our friends and neighbors who buy toys AND to those who volunteer.
What is the Christmas Store?
Every year, parents, grandparents, and child guardians that we serve throughout the year, are offered the chance to sign up for the Christmas Store. On the Saturday before Christmas, registered families get to "shop" for toys, stocking stuffers, books, games, clothes, and stuffed animals for each of their children, have their gifts wrapped, and finally, leave with a full bag of food - enough to make a big meal on Christmas day complete with a turkey!
We invite you to get involved!
Start a toy drive in your church or office. Get your class or a group of friends and family together to come volunteer. Or help us sort through and organize the thousands of toys donated to the Christmas store the week leading up to our distribution day. It's such a fun way to get into the holiday spirit!

Remember Charter Day? A fun November half-day kicking off Thanksgiving break with Mass in the theater, plenty of sweet treats back in homeroom, learning which family from Marillac House your homeroom would be adopting, enjoying the highly anticipated, ICC-sponsored Charter Day Show and inter-class contest for the most “talent,” all capped off with a birthday cake and everyone singing “Happy Birthday” to our dear Marillac High School.
Charter Day was plenty of fun, but also a time to honor and celebrate the spirit of St. Louise that had been handed down to each girl who walked the Marillac halls and to extend that spirit through the homeroom gift collection and Christmas Party at Marillac House.
It is in that same spirit that the Coming Home Legacy invites you to celebrate Charter Day once again on “Giving Tuesday,” November 29, 2016, from 6 - 8pm to connect with fellow alums, and to lend time, talent, and/or treasure to the work still being done by the Daughters of Charity in Chicago through Marillac St. Vincent Family Services and St. Joseph Services.
JOIN US, in any of the following ways!
- At Marillac St. Vincent (2145 N. Halsted) on the 29th from 6 - 8pm and bring an unwrapped gift from the wish list. RSVP BELOW. Connect with fellow alums, enjoy wine and cheese and take a tour of the Marillac St. Vincent Family Services facility. There is parking for 50 cars in the Marillac St. Vincent Family Services parking garage as well as street parking. And Spot Hero is always there for you as well.
- In spirit—purchase a gift off the wish list. Please use the following shipping address: Marillac St. Vincent Family Services, Attn. Colleen Sacks, MHS; 2145 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60614.
- In spirit—make a donation to support the Marillac Legacy: Coming Home campaign, benefiting the educational programs of Marillac St. Vincent and St. Joseph Family Services. Help us reach our end of year goal! See our website for more information , including matching gift information.
All donated gifts will be used in the Marillac St. Vincent Family Services Christmas Store or at the annual St. Joseph Services holiday party.
The Marillac St. Vincent Family Services Christmas Store, where MSV families shop for presents for their loved ones, is open December 17th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and is in need of volunteers! Sign up here to help run the gift shop with fellow Marillac alums.
